									<p>Dear colleagues,</p><p>Join us in welcoming <strong>Medea Khmelidze</strong> as EWNA&#8217;s new Executive Director!</p><p>Eurasian Women’s Network on AIDS (EWNA) is pleased to announce that Medea Khmelidze is our new Executive Director. She officially assumed leadership on February 17, 2025, succeeding Svitlana Moroz, whose dedicated and impactful leadership has greatly contributed to the organization’s growth and mission.</p><p>Despite all the crises in our region and globally, we are excited for the transformative feminist leadership Medea will bring not just to the EWNA team but also to our collective sexual and reproductive health, rights, and HIV justice movement.</p><p>Medea holds a master’s degree in social work, she has a successful 10 years track record of effective project/program management, fundraising, financial oversight, and team management at national and regional level, and her expertise lies in the development of women&#8217;s leadership, gender equity in the HIV response, advocacy, campaigns, community-led research, community systems development that stand for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), human rights, and preventing/addressing gender-based violence and violence against women.</p><p>Working in feminist cross-movements of SRHR, and gender equality, among other key themes, she has been co-directing Georgian Union of People Living with HIV and participating in the ASTRA Network Advisory Board.</p><blockquote><p><em>With a profound commitment to advancing women&#8217;s leadership and extensive experience in HIV service and human rights advocacy, I am eager to contribute my skills and vision to furthering the impactful work of the EWNA and its valuable team, vision and working principle</em><em>s</em><em>.
